Em primeiro lugar, Jesus permanece o mesmo no sentido do Seu intenso amor por nós. Diz-nos o texto do Velho Testamento que o Senhor nos "amou com amor eterno e com benignidade nos atraiu". Este amor é eterno porque nasceu na eternidade, no ambiente em que o tempo e espaço não se medem pelas rotações ou órbitas de um planeta qualquer. É eterno porque tendo nos amado, resolveu entrar no limite de tempo e espaço medido pelos homens, fazendo nele a Sua história de redenção e, apesar de 33 anos de convivência com um mundo caído, amou aos seus até o fim, o qual, diga-se de passagem culminou com a cruz que não era dele. Eterno ainda porque o fim mencionado nas linhas anteriores não se referia ao seu fim ou ao "the end" de sua saga humana, mas ao objetivo de entregar-se como expiação pelos nossos pecados, os meus e os seus e de toda a humanidade, em todos os tempos, épocas, geografias e culturas específicas. Eterno porque a ressurreição não apagou este amor, porque uma vez cumprida a missão da cruz, Ele diz aos Seus:" Ide por todo o mundo e pregai o Evangelho a toda criatura..." Isto significa que cada pessoa poderia e deveria saber daquilo que Ele fez, onde quer que estivesse, vivesse no tempo em que vivesse, todos deveriam ser alcançados pelo Seu amor.
O poder de Jesus também não mudou, e neste sentido Ele continua sendo o mesmo, aquele que cura, sara, restaura, perdoa, batiza no Espírito Santo, responde clamores e orações, envia discípulos, manifesta o Seu poder entre as nações. É por isto que hoje mesmo, você que lê estas linhas, pode fazer prova disto ao entregar o seu coração em Suas mãos e pedir-lhe que intervenha no curso da sua história pessoal, familiar, social ou profissional. Você pode experimentar o que eu, minha casa, meus discípulos e todos aqueles que amam ao Senhor têm provado. Jesus é o mesmo e você precisa provar isto pessoalmente. É só clamar e crer.
Ele, o Senhor do tempo, que não muda, disse: " Os céus e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não passarão".
