The Academy Award ® winner Denzel Washington (Best Actor - Training Day, 2001) joins producer Jerry Bruckheimer and renowned director Tony Scott for Déjà Vu - an action thriller with a mind-bending game. Called in to recover evidence after a bomb exploded in New Orleans ferry, Federal agent Doug Carlin (Washington) has just wrapped in an ultra-secret American government: a laboratory that handles the relationship between time and space, to help prevent crimes in the future. But will this machine can change the past?
This is the synopsis of the movie I watched with my wife, who incidentally, really calls attention to the intelligence of the producers and the participation of actor who, in my view, makes impressive performance in all his movies. But that's not what made me mention the film in this article, but before a sentence that it aroused my attention and interest. Citing the possibility of returning to the past and, in the plot, change the destination of the facts, Doug says: - "If you had to know something real need to tell someone, and yet also knew that nobody would believe, would you tell ? His interlocutor before the inquiry said: - "I would try."
When we speak of Déjà Vu in the environment of fiction. When speaking about the responsibility of those who know Jesus are talking about facts and personal experience. Therein lies the correlation that wish to implement.
Who has experience with God in Jesus Christ, also has a complex mission, to demonstrate to the world around them the reality and intensity of their experience. Upon receiving the "Go" of Jesus, Christians will proclaim the historicity of Jesus, Jesus' death and resurrection of Jesus, becoming a witness to it.
The message of the Christian Church in essence is profound, confrontational, and compromising with respect to the roots of all human beings, after all, what religious leaders have a resurrection in your history or have taught during His 40 days before ascending to heaven or being born of a virgin, or even become the only way and access road to God?
You for example, advocate the belief, the cause, the testimony of a person who lived two thousand years ago, from which you just heard the record, for some bruising? I do, and thousands of others as well, and you know why? Because all the disciples of Jesus died because of the announcement of the truth of his resurrection. Would you die for a lie, something he does not believe? I think not.
We announced and we agree because we have only the testimony of history and of the apostles, which is already enough for us, but we have the history and biography of our lives changed by the power of His presence in us.
As we have something to tell the world that we know, many doubt and question, keep trying, doing our part, announcing that heaven and hell is also real, that Jesus Christ will return to pick up his; only those who are washed in the bloodJesus will have access to the Kingdom of God, and especially the choice to believe and surrender to His care is individual as well as the consequences of rejecting His love. As I said - I would try.
